I went and watched Ghajni after all one had to see - thanks to the marketing of the film. The story is mostly to the Tamil Ghajini, which Murugadoss stole from Memento.
The whole story is - Sanjay Singhania (Aamir Khan) develops an unusual condition of being unable to form new memories for longer than 15 minutes because of a violent blow to his head in a brutal attack that also led to the death of his girlfriend Kalpana (Asin). In order to remember things Sanjay writes them down on paper, wall and whate ever he finds - even his body and click photos. He has tattooed the killers name on his chest. Jiah Khan helps Sanjay in Killing the Ghajini (Pradeep Rawat) - murdered of Asin and he completes his revenge. I would say Ghajini is a piece of shit when you compare to the 'Memento'. I could not find any reason why Aamir should be given 5 stars for this performance, Surya was better in the Tamil version of the movie. The movie stretches for torturous 3 hours it could been shortened by atleast 20 mins. Music is just average and none of the songs really have the melody or pep. I came out of the Cineplex with a headache and would advise you to skip this movie (Rent a Momento DVD ;) . On the other hand Rab ne was a light hearted movie and much better than this one. The success of Ghajini is purely due to the Aamir's innovative advertising and media over-hype!
