Freida Pinto, who shot to fame with the success of Slumdog Millionaire, has dumped her boyfriend of four years. According to sources, 24-year-old Rohan is upset and is convinced she will come back. The two met at St. Xavier’s University in Mumbai and soon came very close.

A friend said: “They were really into each other. Rohan would do anything for Freida. They were best pals as well as lovers. While together he helped her develop her website, did publicity and marketing for her and even fixed her dresses before the fashion shoots.”

There are rumours that the 24-year-old Pinto and her 18-year-old co-star Dev Patel are more than friends. Patel had earlier said: “She is very beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous. Everyone’s agreed on that. But there’s no romance, no.”

Jimmy Shergill has refused to do a kissing scene with Nandana Das on the sets of Strangers. According to the director, initially Jimmy had agreed to do the kissing scenes. Later however he found it uncomfortable. Hence this scene was dropped from the film. But according to Jimmy he had disagreed to do the kissing scenes when he read the script. The film Strangers is about relationships and hence kissing scenes were supposedly important. It is very strange that an actor has disagreed to do a kissing scene as they are quite common in Bollywood now.

Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna said that Katrina Kaif is married to Salman Khan. For this Katrina has demanded an Apology.

Saamna carried a special article written by Salman's father Salim Khan saying that his son has already tied the knot with his long time girlfriend Katrina. Katrina has denied the report and Salim Khan now says he has been misquoted. "Salim sahab has already said that he has been misquoted or perhaps the reporter who was taking the interview misunderstood. Let's give the reporter a benefit of doubt that it was a mistake," she told CNN-IBN. "I definitely thinks that Saamna should issue a clarification if not an apology because it's not a small thing. It's not the news of a movie or some endorsement that one has signed. It's a big think to make a mistake about somebody's life like this. And I think a clarification is a must because I know for a fact that Salim sahab has definitely not said anything and one should be careful while reporting for such a major newspaper and while writing articles," she added. She said that her managers have spoken to the editors at Saamna and that they were assured of a corrigendum. "People who read Saamna are regulars so when they open the paper tomorrow, there should be a clarification in the paper. They should say that they were misinformed or the misprinted and that's it. I think the matter should be ended then and there," she stated.

According to Jiah Khan, Chelsea-based 16-year-old girl who was spotted by Mahesh Bhatt, when the veteran film director visited her mother Rabya, a former Indian actress in London, and told she had what it takes to become a star. Invited to play the love interest in a new Bollywood film, Jiah put her studies in London on hold and flew to Mumbai.

While emphatically saying Bhatt was not among those who harassed her, she said, ‘‘There was lot of harassment. I would check out my costume and be alone with someone who would then try it on me...I was told that there are thousands of actresses like me and I was replaceable.’’ Jiah flew to Dubai last year and began filming her role as the shy girl who wins the heart of an Indian boy in the film Zaroorat, a song and dance spectacular. But now she is back, saying ‘‘I was harassed and people tried it on, so I walked out,’’ she told The Times. ‘‘In one scene, I had to wear a swimsuit and jump around. I expected the filming to be professional, but some of the crew were whispering to each other and laughing. It made me feel uncomfortable... It was vulgar,’’ she alleged.

Jiah said she saw some actresses flaunting themselves at producers by sitting on their laps and holding their hands. ‘‘It was disgusting, but maybe that’s the way it works. You have to be flirtatious with the right people and make them feel that they are the most important people.’’ Jiah has shelved her plans to become a star and is working on a career as a singer.

Monica Riche, a 28-year-old British actress whose parents were Indian, was given a warning before going to Mumbai. Richie, who lives in Cranford, Middlesex, and spends half the year in Mumbai, said at an interview where she offered to do a screen test, a writer asked: ‘‘What else can you offer me? If I had gone to bed with him, I would probably have got the role,’’ she said.

There little that can be done to stop this as long as this world of glamous blinds young girl into sexual favors for producers and directors :(
